Somali Forum for Progress (SFP) is an independent think-tank initiative working with leaders in government, academics, scholars, intellectuals, media, and youths.  Somali Forum for Progress’s

overriding aim is to create an atmosphere of debate and dialogue. SFP has wide range of issues

including peace-and dialogue, good-governance, socio-economic, human right and so forth.  Since its inception, SFP’s core perspective has been, and will be, uniquely future-oriented and optimistic.

Mission Statement:

Somali Forum for Progress’s overriding mission statement is to inform and shape public opinion and policy by serving academic, scholars, youth groups, media and policy institutions to address pressing issues in timely fashion. SFP is also committed to promote civil dialogue and civic participation by maintaing open forum and constructive dialogue.

Somali Forum for Progress provides a platform —- through conferences, researches, publications, town-hall-style events, and media appearance to create awareness among the Somali youths,

intellectuals, academics and scholars to the most pressing problems that Somalia confronting today and re-establish its position on the global level.
